Hooked on Facebook

Previously, Culture Studies’ students used our former forum to get in touch with other students, discuss, the courses, literature, expectations and travel plans, but we have never experienced so much activity as we have after we changed our forum to a group on Facebook.

A Harvard student made Facebook in 2004 as a network for university students. It has since expanded to include students in high school and a year ago it was made available to everyone with a valid email address. More than six million photos are uploaded every day and it is the sixth most visited website in the US.

Culture Studies have made the group “Kulturstudier høsten 2008” (meaning Culture Studies autumn 2008) and most of this autumn’s students have already joined and are enthusiastically discussing the upcoming semester. You can click on this link for more information or to become a member.

As you probably realize most of the discussion is in Norwegian at the moment, however, feel free to post a topic or discussion in English and we are sure your fellow Scandinavian students will reply.
