Peace and Conflict Studies

AMARTYA offers a full semester course of peace and conflict studies. The course takes place in Pondicherry (aka Puducherry), South-India, and gives a broad interdisciplinary introduction to the study of social and political processes of conflict and conflict resolution on a local, regional and global scale. Students and teachers are from all over the world. Semesters starts February 9th and August 31st.

You can choose between the spring- and autumn semester. 10 weeks in India is preceded by 5 weeks of self-study with internet-based supervision. The program is offered in cooperation with Oslo University College who issues Internationally transferable university credits (30 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System).

The course is suitable for:
